Pointe Coupee Homebound Health Named as Prestigious 2015 HHCAHPS HONORS Recipient

Pointe Coupee Homebound Health has been named a 2015 HHCAHPS Honors recipient by Deyta Analytics. HHCAHPS Honors is a prestigious award recognizing home health agencies that continuously provide quality care as measured from the patient’s point of view.

Deyta Analytics used the Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) survey results from partnering home health agencies contained in its HHCAHPS database with an evaluation period of April 2014 through March 2015. Deyta Analytics identified HHCAHPS Honors recipients by evaluating performance on a set of nineteen satisfaction indicator measures; omitting qualifying, leader, and demographic questions. HHCAHPS Honors recipients include those agencies scoring above the Deyta National Average on at least eighty-five percent, or seventeen, of the evaluated questions. Deyta holds a special recognition, HHCAHPS Honors Elite, to honor home health agencies scoring above the Deyta National Average on one hundred percent, or all nineteen, of the evaluated questions.

Pointe Coupee Homebound Health is a local, parish owned agency in New Roads, LA. and is the only home health agency located in New Roads. Pointe Coupee Homebound Health accepts referrals from local and out of town physicians and facilities and accepts Medicare and most private insurances.

“Pointe Coupee Homebound Health was established over 30 years ago by the Pointe Coupee Health Services District to meet the home health care needs of the surrounding communities, encompassing a 50 miles radius”, states Brenda Goode, RN, Director of Nurses. In 2001 Pointe Coupee Hospice was established servicing the same area.

This scholarship, created in honor of Dr. Robert N. Helm, is awarded to a senior from each of the three Pointe Coupee Parish high schools. The seniors submit an essay describing their reasons for pursuing a career in the medical profession. Olivia’s parents are Brian and Dianne Beauvais of New Roads.

During 2018 both Pointe Coupee Hospice and Pointe Coupee Homebound Health were recognized for their outstanding care and outstanding patient and caregiver satisfaction. Pointe Coupee Hospice were the receipt of the 2018 Hospice Honors Award. Pointe Coupee Homebound Health was awarded the 2018 HHCAPS Honors Elite Award. Catholic High School of Pointe Coupee Senior, Olivia Beauvais, was recently nominated by the Pointe Coupee Hospice Staff for the 2018 “Volunteers Are the Foundation of Hospice” Award. This award is presented to an outstanding student hospice volunteer. “Being nominated for this award is a very special honor in and of itself. It signifies how very important Olivia’s contributions are to your hospice and the community”, stated Diane Snyder Cowan, National Council of Hospice and Palliative Care Professionals Awards Committee Chairperson. Out of approximately 200 nominations, Olivia placed in the top 5 in the country in her category.
