Pointe Coupee Health Services Foundation

The Pointe Coupee Health Services Foundation was established in 2008 by the Board of Directors of Pointe Coupee General Hospital in partnership with Pointe Coupee Homebound Health and Hospice. As a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations made to the Foundation are tax-deductible.
The Foundation was created to support residents of Pointe Coupee Parish who are facing health challenges, while also strengthening local healthcare services through resource development. Today, the Foundation is comprised of five distinct funds, each serving a unique purpose within our community:
Pointe Coupee Homebound Health Fund
Provides assistance to families with unmet needs and supports staff development to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.Pointe Coupee Hospice Fund
Assists hospice patients and their families with unmet needs while also investing in ongoing staff development.Janell LaCombe Cancer Fund
Established in 2001 in memory of Mrs. Janell Legier LaCombe, who passed away from cancer in June 2001, this fund provides financial assistance to cancer patients in Pointe Coupee Parish. Eligible individuals may receive up to $500 per month to help cover unreimbursed, cancer-related expenses.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, more than $1,000,000 has been distributed to local families through this fund over the years.Dr. Robert Helm Scholarship
Created in honor of Dr. Helmโs dedication to the medical profession and his deep compassion for the community, this scholarship recognizes students who share his commitment to service. Three $250 scholarships are awarded annuallyโone to a graduating senior from each parish high schoolโwho plans to pursue a career in the medical field.You Are Not Alone Scholarship
This scholarship was established to uplift and support students who lead with compassion, advocate for mental health awareness, and work to create a world where no one feels alone. It reflects the growing need for increased awareness, empathy, and accessible resources surrounding teen mental health. One $300.00 scholarship will be awared annually.
