New Roads Friends of Main Street Program Gives Back to the Community

 

George Miller of Friends of Main Street presents a donation to the Pointe Coupee Health Services Foundation. Accepting the check are Jeanine Thibodeaux, Blanche Jewell, and Fonda McKneely of Pointe Coupee Homebound Health and Hospice.

 

Members of the Pointe Coupee Health Services Foundation recently accepted a donation from New Roads Friends of Main Street Director, George Miller.

The donation came from a percentage of the proceeds of the 11th Annual New Roads Car Show, as well as donations collected during the car show by the Friends of Main Street for the Pointe Coupee Hospice Fund.

The Pointe Coupee Hospice Fund was established in an effort to ensure hospice care for indigent residents in the PC Hospice service area. The funds are also used for community outreach programs, as well as, staff support and development.

Donations to this fund are accepted online or can be mailed to the Pointe Coupee Hospice Office at 350 Hospital Road in New Roads.
