Pointe Coupee Hospice has been
in operation since 2001 and offers our most experienced nursing team for pain management and symptom control. Hospice offers a team approach to manage its patient’s medical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The care is patient and family centered. Hospice believes that every person has a right to dignified and pain-free end-of-life. We work closely with our hospice physician, Dr. Robert Helm, as well as your primary care or specialty physician to control pain and symptoms. Hospice offers a spiritual and volunteer component that makes it unique to other health care. Hospice also offers many of the other services that you are familiar with home health such as physical, speech and occupational therapy and medical social worker.

We work with patients and families with end of life issues offering comforting and compassionate care. Hospice care is not limited to the home but may also be provided in the nursing home as well as the hospital.
