Pointe Coupee Homebound Health & Hospice

Pointe Coupee Homebound Health Services and Pointe Coupee Hospice stand by the phrase:

We want you to be aware that you have the right to choose your home care or hospice provider. It is your health we care about. Both agencies are not-for- profit, community-owned and will provide personalized, hometown care.

Areas Served:

Pointe Coupee Homebound Health Services has provided professional home health care to Pointe Coupee Parish residents, as well as to residents in parts of Iberville, Avoyelles,West Baton Rouge, West Feliciana parishes, for over 28 years. Pointe Coupee Hospice is a dedicated local hospice agency, established in 2001, and covering the same service areas. Pointe Coupee Hospice has easy accessibility to these areas allowing more efficient patient care. Both agencies are Medicare and Medicaid certified and service many private insurances policy holders.

Our Dedicated Staff:

The average staff member of each agency has greater than 10 years experience in the home care and hospice fields. The Pointe Coupee Homebound Health Services

We take a lot of pride in providing care for our friends and families. That’s why we like to say:

“We’re more than your healthcare team…We’re your neighbors!”

We are a community-oriented agency and have several programs available through the Pointe Coupee Health Services Foundation.  We invite you to explore those sections of our website for more information.

Pointe Coupee Homebound Health Services Named to the Top 500 of the 2014 HomeCare Elite

Pointe Coupee Homebound Health Services announced that it has been named to the Top 500 of the 2014 HomeCare Elite, recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States. Now in its ninth year, the HomeCare Elite identifies the top 25 percent of agencies and highlights the top 100 and top 500 agencies overall. Winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best practice (process measure) implementation, patient experience (Home Health CAHPS®), quality improvement and consistency, and financial performance. In order to be considered, an agency must be Medicare-certified and have data for at least one outcome in Home Health Compare. Out of 9,994 agencies considered, 2,501 are elite.

The award is sponsored by OCS HomeCare by National Research Corporation, the leading products for home health metrics and analytics, and DecisionHealth, publisher of the most respected independent newsletter in the home care profession, Home Health Line.

“The 2014 HomeCare Elite winners demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality care in their home health communities and we recognize them for their remarkable achievements,” said Mary Oakes, Senior Vice President of Post-Acute at National Research. “We congratulate Pointe Coupee Homebound Health Services on being one of the top 500 home care agencies in the country.”

Jeanine Thibodeaux, RN, Administrator, credits professionalism and an indebt knowledge and expertise of the home care industry with the agency’s ability to achieve recognition as one of the HomeCare Elite.  The experience in the home health industry of our staff is in part due to the many years of dedication to this agency and desire to provide the most advanced home health care possible to the residents of our local community”, said Thibodeaux.

“HomeCare Elite recognition is a significant acknowledgement. In today’s healthcare ecosystem, it is imperative that our seniors have access to quality home healthcare in order to ensure better patient outcomes and improve overall cost, and therefore, home healthcare continues to remain an integral part of the care continuum. The winners of the HomeCare Elite Award are proving that a heightened focus on clinical outcomes, patient experience, and financial management lead to success,” said Marci Heydt, Product Manager for the post-acute care business group of DecisionHealth.
