Pointe Coupee Homebound Health has been serving the citizens of Pointe Coupee, as well as parts of Iberville, West Baton Rouge, and Avoyelles parishes for over 27 years. We have recently begun providing services to parts of West Feliciana.  We have a proven record of success. Our Agency was selected as “one of the top home health agencies in the United States, by HomeCare Elite, in 2010″. Our agency also received the CAPSTONE AWARD in 2010 for having a low acute care re-hospitalization rate.  We have expertise in keeping you home, avoiding hospital stays.

Our staff is highly professional and provides service above and beyond what is required. Pointe Coupee Homebound Health Services provides Nursing Care, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Medical Social Worker services, and Personal Care Attendant services for patients with a wide variety of illnesses and conditions.

  • Anodyne Therapy
  • Epidural Pain Pump Management
  • Chronic and Acute Disease Management for Diabetes, CHF, COPD, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and others
  • Monitoring of PT/INR in the home for patients on “blood thinners”
  • After surgery care: including use of specific joint replacement protocols and heart surgery protocols
  • VITALSTIM Therapy

Pointe Coupee Homebound has a Pediatric Nurse and a  Psychiatric Nurse on staff. The nursing staff also works in consultation with a staff nutritionist and diabetic nurse educator when necessary. Our specialty programs include a Low Vision Program, Vestibular Rehabilitation for patients diagnosed with Vertigo (dizziness), and a Fall Prevention program. Our newest program is Advanced Illness Management or “AIM” specifically for patients who need symptom and pain management for advanced illness.
